Deemed the largest fishmeal processing plant in the country, Southern Philippines Fishmeal Corporation employs Japanese design and technology to process cannery waste materials (fish heads, tails and entrails) at a rate of 10 to 12 tons hourly. The facility produces high quality, steamed-dried fish meal with protein contents of up to 72% (for whole fish) under the most stringent sanitation procedures. These products are exported to neighboring countries such as Japan and Korea as feeds. Moreover, the plant also has the capacity to produce crude fish oil at a rate of 12 tons daily. These are supplied to various chemical and pharmaceutical companies locally and abroad.
